Prototype

we did the prototype and consultation one day before submission

the prototype was really simple, it didnt have any powerful scripting or anything. Overall it was the simplest of all, more like a sample i guess.

In the prototype, i inserted the hovering cucumber film loop, some linking, and lastly the window pop-up.

Sorry i didnt have any picture with me.

Consultation

During consultation, there were loads of fancy prototypes besides us, but i managed to ask so many questions to Mdm Khoo, and finally she forgot about asking us why our prototype is too raw. =P

Among the questions i asked was about :

film looping
director movie linking
behaviors
Lingo scripting
sound controls
movie controls
tempo setting
drag and drop


there were more, but i guess i forgot about the others.

this is all about our prototype and consultation, overall Mdm Khoo helped alot in the repairing process.

till then ill post the final proposal and details about the finished product later.

Some of you may have noticed that most of our links in the previous posts (especially in PDF format) are broken because the host, 110mb is temporary down.

In our previous post, as you have viewed, I posted the layout designs for our project. The layouts were really basic and simple, so I thought of upgrading them to a little more... abstract and solid- looking.

The three of us have discussed about it before, and we decided to go for a vector look with a simple 2D shading form.

So here I am, doing some researches on vector art and a little of inspiration- hunting. So far I've been getting ideas from DeviantArt and managed to... er, get some really cool and gorgeous artworks.

What I learnt:- Most vector arts don't have outlines. Vectors are nicer when gradients are applied. Black is applied to portray solidness and elegance.

We finally submitted our GUI/ Design Proposal last Thursday (28/11/06) during our tutorial class. We didn't get to present our proposal because we were late, tho'. :P

Today we had our nasi lemak feast~ well....as the organizer... we cant participate in this exciting marathon of eating nasi lemak...but atleast seeing it being eaten was a joy~

im really tired and dead exhausted... so ill just brief it with wat we actually did throughout the whole thing

today we went around kl scavenging for the nasi lemak hotspots -

our first target was - MADAM KWAN's KLCC~

well...our first mission kinda failed since we ambushed madam kwan's with our video and huge gun busting cams, so with the failure and guilt... we went looking for another place as nice/classy as madam kwan's, after thinkin and thinkin... we found this shop called the penang cafe* (im not sure about the name...will update later)

so from madam kwans we changed our victim~ to penang cafe!

lucky we got what we wanted...with the formal letter, huahauhau (they cant reject us now haaa!!!)

they were very happy knowing that someone wanted to promote them~ (yela...ofcuz la~ masuk internet maaa)
we ordered the penang nasi lemak~ (my taste buds were electrified with the watery effect when i saw that thing)

the whole interview was quite jerky.... like duh...we are so inexperienced :P
still inexperienced or not, the whole thing turned out fine :D

our next target was pelita....but sadly the pelita was so famous~ they didnt have any empty parking space

so we went to look for our next target which was the Renaissance Hotel~
